What is personal data?

Personal data is data that directly or indirectly identifies a person: surname, first name, gender, date and place of birth, address, e-mail address, telephone number, pseudonym, photograph, password, etc.

What is protected?

All your personal data that we have collected.

Please note that we collect your personal data:

  • When you decide to create an account. We then collect the following information: Last name, first name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone numbers. Mandatory information, without which we are unable to provide you with our services, is indicated by an asterisk.
  • If you subscribe to our newsletter or SMS from our website. In this case, we collect only your surname, first name, e-mail address and/or telephone number.

We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that we collect some of your data indirectly, during your activity on the application. The data collected in this way relates to your activity, transactions, connection devices and equipment, and number of visits.

In doing so, we collect the date your account was created, the dates and times you logged on, the number of orders you placed, the model of your connection devices, your IP address and your operating system.

Finally, we would like to point out that data relating to means of payment, and in particular the type and number of credit card, the associated name, the expiry date and the security code, are collected directly by our payment service provider, BNP. This data is not transmitted to us, and we therefore do not collect it.

As stated in our General Terms and Conditions, payment is made via BNP's Merc@net module, which uses the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol, so that transmitted information is encrypted by software and cannot be read by any third party during transport over the netw

For what purposes are your personal data stored?

The personal data collected directly and indirectly will be used for the following purposes:

  • the creation and management of your account and your orders (from order placement to delivery and after-sales service)
  • process transactions and payments, and keep you informed of the status of your transactions (including order tracking)
  • to respond to any questions or complaints you may have
  • to receive newsletters and SMS messages from KAVIARI SAS

Legal basis for our collection of personal data

Our collection of personal data is based on several legal grounds:

1/ You have given us your express consent. Your consent may be withdrawn at any time, in accordance with the terms of this privacy policy.

On this basis, we collect your data for the following purposes:

2/ Your data is necessary for the performance of the contract concluded between us (e.g. if you make a purchase).

Where is your personal data stored?

This information is stored on servers located in France and managed by Icodia.

When and for how long are your personal data stored?

Your personal data is stored:

  • as soon as your account is created and your order is placed.
  • as soon as you subscribe to our newsletter on our website.
  • in the case of data collected indirectly, as soon as you visit our site, log in to your account or accept cookies.

In the case of information collected when you create your account, as well as all information relating to your account and your activity on the site:

This information and history will be kept for the duration of your account's validity, and will be immediately and definitively deleted from the moment you request deletion of your account.

We remind you that you can delete your account at any time. To do so, simply send an e-mail to the following address: dpo@kaviari.fr.

However, if your account remains inactive for a total of three (3) years, we will send you an e-mail to inform you that, if you fail to confirm your wish to keep your account within two (2) months of receiving this e-mail, we will proceed to delete it.

Regarding data collected when you subscribe to the Newsletter / SMS:

This information will be kept for as long as is necessary for the provision of this service, up to a limit of three (3) years from our last contact, it being hereby reminded that you may at any time decide to unsubscribe from the Newsletter / SMS service. In this case, your data will be permanently and immediately deleted.

With regard to data collected in the context of our legal, tax and accounting obligations

Your data is kept for the full legal period. For example, your invoices are kept for ten (10) years.

Data relating to any complaints you may have

Your data will be kept for as long as is necessary to resolve the dispute that gave rise to your complaint.

How is it stored?

Your data is stored on a protected and secure computer system.

Who can access my data?

Only certain employees of KAVIARI SAS have access to your data, for the purposes described above.

KAVIARI SAS also works with service providers who may have access to your data. These include delivery service providers (Chronofresh), payment service providers and anti-fraud service providers.

This access will necessarily be granted in such a way as to guarantee the security and confidentiality of your data.

We would also like to point out that our employees and service providers are fully aware of data collection issues.

Can I access my data? And control how it is used?

Do you use cookies?

First of all, what are cookies? The CNIL defines it as "a string of information, generally small in size and identified by a name, which may be transmitted to your browser by a website to which you connect.
